not all people can take a joke, but they should.

however, I can’t blame some people after some of the pranks I’ve seen pulled on them.

Picture this: You unlock and open the front door to your home, and after turning on the lights, you notice 10 baby chickens chirping about and making a poopy bird mess. at least the culprit left a basket of Easter chocolates.

but I’ve been the butt of a few pranks myself.

aside from changing my relationship status to “it’s complicated” and “I want to be Sarah Palin,” pranksters often reach out to me in other ways, too. I’ve experienced a life full of things such as teriyaki pancakes, spill-on-myself cups, and let’s-take-his-clothes-and-run-it-will-be-hilarious-and-then-Denny’s-after pranks. I find my peace with all the nonsense when I start plotting my counter prank.

Pranks, if tactfully executed, can be a way people can show others they are important. however, at times some people on the receiving end of a prank, prankees, get upset because a particular prank isn’t as funny as the prankster thought it would be.

It is therefore in the best interest of all parties, pranksters and prankees, to exercise consideration. Pranksters keep the world spinning; they are essential to maintaining society on an easy-going plane. In order to effectively prank, a prankster should be creative and concise; he or she should avoid clichés and keep it light.

Sometimes non-pranksters, jerks, will commit maliciously untactful acts of vandalism and call it a prank. Judge wisely as one should not prank in such a way that would cause actual harm.

Harm to family members, or any human for that matter, can be considered assault. Also, animals should be left in the safe zone. they won’t understand the possible psychological damage a brutish prankster could inflict upon them.

Dumping a box full of cute little critters into someone’s living room can be hilarious, but not for those who have to clean up the mess; animals poop. Putting ducklings or bunnies in the danger zone can potentially get them shipped to a hypothetical farm. There is an exception to the animal rule: Girls are generally more merciful to the cute and cuddly.

The results of this particular bird prank went slightly “fowl” as the pranked girls did not enjoy the nest full of eggs and goodies left behind with 10 little chicks. During the flight of the pranksters, they managed to break a table and get themselves banned from the chicken coop.

Beginner pranksters always default to vehicle vandalism. if harmful chemicals are avoided, people can get a little chuckle when they see Oreos stuck to their windows. however, this approach is not creative; cars are clichés.

Sometimes a prankee will respond extraordinarily negative, even when the prankster pranks while attempting to be considerate, yet still delightfully creative and concise.

if someone can’t enjoy a prank being played on him or her, he or she should just prank back and then laugh. Eventually pranking becomes a circular relationship full of excitement, spinning the world, and it never needs to end.
